It was a bit of a whirlwind the first couple of days she was here... once she landed, we dropped her bags off at my place and headed out to attend Riverview's Big Weekend (a weekend conference) where the speakers Darlene Zschech, Alun Davies and Andre Olivier spoke messages that really spoke into our hearts. The weekend was really full on... Karen was recovering from her past week of crazy hectic HK life... finishing teaching, attending a graduation ceremony, packing to come over here etc and was absolutely knackered... just ask her about her eyes and the notetaking during the services! It has been really great having Karen in town... it's been a godsend... she was my answer to prayer when I was feeling terribly homesick, out of the blue I received a message from her saying she'd like to come visit! I'm so glad that she's here... she's full of hilarious quotes, for example "oh, am I supposed to be thinking?"... Anyway we have been able to eat our way through town ie flat whites and cakes, taken many pics of leaves just for our friend Joe Tringali... and while I've been at work, this awesome girl has been a very diligent tourist, checking out the public transport system, the art gallery, history museum, zoo, bell tower, borders bookstore, etc. Well we'll leave you with some pics taken this week...
